Hobonichi Original Cover 2026 - Virginia Lee Burton: The Little House - A6

A cover inspired by Virginia Lee Burton’s beloved picture book "The Little House". Both the front and spine feature a design based on the clear sky blue from the original book cover. The interior is mint green, and the right-side pocket shows a lush summer scene with trees and crops in full bloom. It has "butterfly stopper" pen holders that also function as a clasp to keep the cover shut.

This Original cover will comfortably fit A6 notebooks with a spine of 0.5 inches (1.27cm) or smaller. Though it has the capacity to fit spines larger than 0.5in, the cover might have a tighter fit. About Virginia Lee Burton:

Virginia Lee Burton was born in Massachusetts, USA, and was a celebrated children’s book author, illustrator, and textile designer based in Gloucester, where she lived with her family in Folly Cove. Her 1942 book The Little House won the Caldecott Medal, and she also created other beloved titles, including Choo Choo, Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, and Katy and the Big Snow. She was also active in the textile and graphic arts.
