The pen cap attached to the stand allows you to insert your Desk Fountain Pen and adjust the standing angle of the pen. The pen cap section also comes with Platinum's "Slip and Seal Mechanism" that prevents the ink from drying out in your pen for up to a year. The heavier weighted base functions perfectly to secure your Desk Pen and prevent it from tipping over.
