The newest Toscana Leather Collection is meticulously crafted by the Superior Labor in 2023. Different from their previous Toscana leather series, this new leather is manufactured by Conceria 800 tannery in Tuscany, Italy. It has a more lustrous and distinct grain texture, giving the leather a polished and elegant touch. Each pen case is brought to you by the finest craftsmanship collaboratively from Italy and Japan, creating a durable organizer that works perfectly for carrying around your notebook and favorite stationery. This A5 sized organizer comes with a variation of pockets and card slots to fit all your needs. The dimension also means that you can fit standard A5 notebooks, like the Hobonichi Cousin or Midori MD, into the case as well; just simply slide the front and back notebook covers completely into the larger pockets on each side.
Because each case is individually crafted from organic leather, no two organizers are the same. There will be individual differences in the color, thickness, and texture of the leather.
About The Superior Labor: Founded by former auto mechanic and leather artisan Makoto Kawai, this lifestyle brand crafts a variety of high-quality everyday tools that promote slow and intentional living. Kawai considers The Superior Labor as a natural extension of his experience working with cars, crafting leather goods, traveling, and curating vintage wares. All of The Superior Labor’s design and manufacturing takes place in a former elementary school campus in the rural and mountainous area of Kaga-gun, Okayama Prefecture, where Kawai lives and works. Called “nap village,” it welcomes visitors to come and experience The Superior Labor’s living and crafting philosophy while exploring the wonderful nature of Mount Hongu.
